After you install this security update on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)-based computer, Realtek HD Audio Control Panel (Rthdcpl.exe) may not start. Additionally, you receive an error message that is similar to the

Reply:DLL is dynamic link library, if the error happens on an old machine and it is already been running well for awhile then i think it is great to check the hard disk for corrupted files which may cause some of the files to fail, otherwise perform a test on the memory as partial damage memory usually fails to load and execute file resulting in DLL failure.
Reply:I just got the same thng on mine, an ASUS. Its caused by the latest Microsoft update programs hogging memory (again). The DLL it's complaining about is the driver for your sound system. Go to the sound card (not compaq) web site and get the latest drivers.

Reply:you have a "virus" that is pretty tricky in that if you search for it you find links to sites that want to sell you software to remove it

sadly I too got it but I am still looking at how to remove it but if you want it to stop you can do the follwoing:

1. use msconfig and disable and click on teh startup tab

2. disable (uncheck) everything where teh command is NOT a path but an executable

for example the comamnd

"c:\blah\blah\blah" is OK

but

hexfgh.exe is not OK

now this is pretty generic but its ok for several reasons

1. you can recheck anything that you need

2. when you reboot the system will tell you that msconfig was modified and automatically open (so you can recheck anything that it turns out you need)

3. most legit programs do NOT do HGFHXBXG.exe but rather a path

once I figure out how to remove (the above steps just disables it) I will let you know

Probably you have a older version of the DLL dllmessagebox.

Try to download a newer version (of the correct DLL). or the DLL you downloaded may be totally unrelated one. because there can be different DLLs with the same name.

Reply:Well, the reason is, during an upgrade from Windows NT 3.51 to Windows NT 4.0, the dll file in reference may not be upgraded. If for some reason this file is not updated to the 4.0 version and the User32.dll file is updated to the 4.0 version, the files conflict in memory. The dll loads in an area of memory in which User32.dll tries to load. User32.dll is then relocated in memory but fails.

Try support.microsoft.com, to solve this problem.

What is a DLL?
A DLL is a "Dynamic Link Library" and is basically just a support file for programs on your computer.

It gives the .exe file information it needs to complete it's operation.

Go to this link:

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-fi...

It has a copy of the DLL file that has been moved. You will need to copy it to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\".

You might need to go into safe mode to copy it to the correct location.

Reply:Try this to see if it will clean it up and particularly so, try this URL http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-u... before anything else and after you make sure that your system is free of any Internet bugs.

HOW TO DO A THOROUGH CLEAN UP:

Before doing any of the maintenance steps outlined below make sure that your system is free from viruses and/or of any other undesirable Internet bugs, by running a thorough security scan of your machine.

Now, do the following as needed:

“I” (FOR WINDOWS XP-IE6)

While you are connected to the Internet do the following:

1. Click on tools ... Internet options. There you will see three buttons next to each other... “Delete Cookies” ... “Delete Files” and “Settings.” Also, below the settings button you will see another one “Clear history.”

2. Click on “settings” - go to “Edit” - Click on “select all” - Go to files, click delete and wait till all Internet trash files are gone.

3. Go back and click on “delete cookies” and wait till all cookies are gone

4. Go back and click on “Delete files,” put a check mark on the little white square shown on the small window that will open, click OK and wait for a little.

5. Go back and click on “Clear history”, click “yes” and you are done. Go to item “III” now.

ADDITIONAL INFO.: Here is how to clean website addresses from you IE6 browser bar: While you are connected to Internet, go to “Tools” … “Internet Options,” “Content” tab … “Auto Complete button” … click on “clear forms” and you are finished.

“II” (FOR WINDOWS XP-IE7):

Go to Start … Control Panel … Internet Options. Under “Browsing history” click “Delete” and then click “Delete all,” put a check mark in the little white square and then click “Yes” and you are done. Go to Item “III” now.

“III” (FOR BOTH WIN-IE6 AND WIN-IE7)

1. Do a check disk and a defrag, then restart your computer and see if the problem is resolved. It is assumed that you know how to do a check disc and disc difragmentation.

2. If the above steps don’t do the job, here is a little program that keeps your machine in shape and free from Windows micro-problems that lead to slowness and crashes:

Get on the web and go to http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-u... download the free trial program, familiarize your self with it and use it to clean up your registry automatically along with a sort of other helpful and useful maintenance chores. It is an excellent little program and does wonders with PC maintenance tasks and I strongly recommend it! It works on the background on its own automatically.

3. After you are through with the above maintenance steps, go to Microsoft/Windows updates and download any and all available and/or applicable updates.

Hope this helps!

and What is a DLL?

Short for Dynamic Link Library, a library of executable functions or data that can be used by a Windows application. Typically, a DLL provides one or more particular functions and a program accesses the functions by creating either a static or dynamic link to the DLL. A static link remains constant during program execution while a dynamic link is created by the program as needed. DLLs can also contain just data. DLL files usually end with the extension .dll,.exe., drv, or .fon.

A DLL can be used by several applications at the same time. Some DLLs are provided with the Windows operating system and available for any Windows application. Other DLLs are written for a particular application and are loaded with the application.

2) Short for Delay Locked Loop, Delay-Locked Loop (DLL) supports high-bandwidth data rates between devices. These DLLs are circuits that provide zero propagation delay, low-clock skew between output clock signals throughout a device, and advanced clock domain control. These dedicated DLLs can be used to implement several circuits that improve and simplify system level design

--------------------------------------...

A DLL is a library that contains code and data that can be used by more than one program at the same time. For example, in Windows operating systems, the Comdlg32 DLL performs common dialog box related functions. Therefore, each program can use the functionality that is contained in this DLL to implement an Open dialog box. This helps promote code reuse and efficient memory usage.

By using a DLL, a program can be modularized into separate components. For example, an accounting program may be sold by module. Each module can be loaded into the main program at run time if that module is installed. Because the modules are separate, the load time of the program is faster, and a module is only loaded when that functionality is requested.

Additionally, updates are easier to apply to each module without affecting other parts of the program. For example, you may have a payroll program, and the tax rates change each year. When these changes are isolated to a DLL, you can apply an update without needing to build or install the whole program again.

Hope it helps.

Why do I get this error when I turn my computer on: Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin...

I keep getting the error, but when I search for files progra~1 or mywebs~1 the windows explorer shuts down and gives me an error. What is it, and how do I stop it?

Why do I get this error when I turn my computer on: Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin...
You should get a thorough virus scan done. This sounds like an Internet Explorer toolbar exploit.
Reply:This issue can be caused by any of the following possibilities.

1. Hard disk drive is short on available disk space.

2. Several software programs have been installed/uninstalled leaving behind bad files and/or confusing the software.

3. Data Corruption.

4. Computer is overheating.

5. Bad Hardware.

Below are steps for Microsoft Windows that should help speed up the computer or determine why the computer is running slow.

1. If you have a hard disk drive that is 2GB or smaller, ensure that there is at least 200MB of hard disk drive space free. If you have a hard drive larger than this size, verify that there is at least 500MB of free hard disk space. This available space allows the computer to have room for the swap file to increase in size as well as room for temporary files.

2. Run Scandisk or something equivalent to help ensure that there is nothing physically wrong with the computer hard disk drive.

3. Run Defrag to help ensure that data is arranged in the best possible order.

4. Remove or disable any or programs that automatically start each time the computer boots.

5. Verify that the device manager has no conflicts, but if conflicts are present, resolve them.

6. If you have Windows XP try deleting all files in the prefetch directory. These are prefetch files and can lower system resources if loading programs no longer being used.

7. Try running through the basic troubleshooting steps for your operating system.

8. Make sure your computer and processor is not overheating, excessive heat can cause a significant decrease in computer performance some processors will even lower the speed of the processor automatically to help compensate for the heat related issues.

9. Finally, if none of the above solutions resolve your issues, it is recommended that you either reinstall Windows or erase everything and then start over.

Error comes up on my desktop when i boot the computer up C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\2.bin...
It was a piece of spyware that you probably got rid of when you ran a scan of your machine.

To get rid of it, you need to do the following:

Click start

Click run

type msconfig

click the startup tab

locate the line about what you are looking for (i.e. ...MYWEBS~1..) and uncheck it.

Click apply

then reboot

When the machine reboots it will give you a box with a message that you change settings, check the box and click ok.

Thats it. The message will not appear any more. If it does, then you uncheck the incorrect one, and just try again.
Reply:My best guess that it is a spy-ware...

Well, I’d say, you don’t want it back! “myweb” refers to “MyWebb Search Toolbar” stay away from this as it is Adware. Run an Adware detection program and you will see. Good thing it didn’t start. Now just run a registry cleaner after the Adware program gets rid of it, and you will never see this again. Provided you are not lured back to getting the toolbar again.

This is usually an indication that the startup entry was left behind after spyware was removed. Use the startup manager included with Spybot Search and Destroy to disable and/or remove the entry. This is much better than the msconfig pos bundled with windows. Hijackthis! can also be used but it can be dangerous so should only be used with guidance.

On startup of pc get missing entry c:\windows\system32\spool\driv... what dioes it mean?

spool is for printing

On startup of pc get missing entry c:\windows\system32\spool\driv... what dioes it mean?
spool refers to printing. if you get a missing entry on startup then you've obviously uninstalled a printer driver from your system, but the uninstall didnt take the entry out of the startup/shutdown routines. Depending on what os you are running the entry will be in different places. easiest way of getting rid of the problem is either reinstall the driver and uninstall it again (to see if the uninstall removes the entry properly), or try and find the entry in the registry and delete it so its not trying to load it in the first place.
Reply:It means a print driver is missing or damaged in the start-up routine. As part of the boot cycle the system goes through all peripherals to make sure they are in good order. Even if you don't have a printer hooked up to your system, it will still look to make sure all the drivers are in good condition. You may have to reinstall a print driver, probably one that is in your Operating System install disk, to fix the problem.
Reply:go to add/remove ,remove your printer

then reinstalit from the c d you got with ya printer

Can anyone tell me what Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin... means and how to get rid of
You might try this....

One should do a disk cleanup everyday and defrag two or three times a week if the computer is used moderately.

You may need to do a Disk Cleanup..and be sure you have all the boxes checked....

Defrafg your C drive or what ever is your

main harddrive... Make sure you have selected the C Drive.... This is called a Disk Defragmenter...

Go to : Start...

programs..

accessories...

system tools..

Do this often...

Try the System Restore which takes you back to a time when your computer was working good. Go To:

start

programs

accessories

systems tools

system restore

This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.

I get this message on my PC Error loading C:\PROGRA~\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\... what does it mean?

MyWeb Search is running during startup. MyWebSearch is actually a spyware. The file was removed on the system but nor completely. You can try, removing it during startup

Type msconfig

Go to Startup Tab

Uncheck MyWebSearch there

I get this message on my PC Error loading C:\PROGRA~\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\... what does it mean?
The first folder is Program Files

c:\Progra~

The second begins exactly as it's spelled, but I don't know the full name so it's looking in

C:\Program Files\MYWEBS%26lt;rest of name unknown to me%26gt;\Bar

The bottom line is that it's tryng to load a program from that directory I'm guessing on startup.

Click the Start button, then look under Programs then Startup and see what's in there What ever it is the program may have been partially removed and thus causing you the error.

It sounds like a browser add on is conflicting with your system. If you have installed any toolbars, I would uninstall them all (leave Google or Yahoo bar as they have been made to integrate with IE), reboot and see if the error message goes. If it doesn't, you may need to run a malware removal programme, such as Ad-Aware. If you join the Ad-Aware web forum, you can get help to resolve any problems with your computer using other malware removal tools (such as HiJack This) and they will guide you through what to do.
Reply:Sounds like an virus or spyware.

Run your antivirus and spyware progs.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck.

Reply:To uninstall a program, "something" (without getting too technical) must be present so that the installer knows what to remove.

While the program is known to be installed, some parts needed to uninstall are missing.

If you are worried you can reinstall the program and then uninstall. Or remove the files associated with the program - though there could be registry entries left behind.

It sounds like a program that you had installed and possibly moved or tried to delete.

Go into START -- Settings -- Control Panel -- Add/Remove Programs -- look for anything that resembles MYWEBS and remove it.

If there is nothing there, click on START -- Startup -- and delete it if it is in the startup folder.

If there is nothing in there, the Right-Click on START -- Search -- in the file name box type *MYWEBS (make sure you include the *) -- in the look in box select your hard drive. Delete it from there if it brings up any results.

Other than that, I am all out of suggestions. Good luck

additional, only just seen.

I note your reluctance to download anything, but

i am going to suggest 1 very small prog.. called

advanced windows care which is totally FREE.

I use this myself regular to clean and tidy up.

Please try this, paying attention to start up progs...

check all boxes and scan and click repair.whole

thing takes about 4 or 5 mins.you can go into

startup and they tell you trustworthy or unknown.

Please put your reluctance aside, you have nothing

to lose and worst way an exellent prog..for the

future which can stop things like this happening.

Ilook forward to an answer.
Reply:Rundll errors are related to the registry. Use a good registry cleaner to scan your computer. If it pulls up the error in question, you can fix it and solve your dilemma. The page below offers some free scans. Hope this helps!

What is C:\windows\system32\spool\driv... mean?

I had that going on in one of my older computers. I reloaded Windows and it has been fine since then.

What is C:\windows\system32\spool\driv... mean?
That is the file that is used by the operating system when printing documents. it is used so that you can print and do other tasks at the same time.
Reply:This is a folder where printer stores the spooled file temporarely for printing purposes.
Reply:I can't remember for sure but it's probably your printer spool.

I can't see the whole line here either.

If you're seeing that as an error, it could be a variety of problems. First that comes to mind is that your printer spool does not have enough disk space to write a file to disk before printing it. You should check your disk space and if it's low, delete some of the crap on your computer or get a new hard drive.
Reply:SPOOL is a directory where all the drivers for External (output devices) are stored such as printers, fax, zipdrivers, scanners etc.. all these devices are working on one thread while u can do your work that is these devices work backgroud and u can proceed with ur work. Y? Bcoz SPOOL means simultaneous pheripharals operation online i hope by this u can understand what spool means
Reply:Sounds like something to do with your print subsystem.
Reply:On drive C, there is a directory named "windows" that contains the subdirectory "system32," which contains a subsubdirectory named "spool," which contains a subsubsub directory called "driv" ...

It's basically a roadmap for navigating through files and folders on your computer.
Reply:C:\windows\system32\spool\

drivers\color\

such things as NEC Compatible 9300K G2.2.icm

if You right click on the files there it says color profile and such for monitors. other folders are empty here on my pc.
Reply:Spool drivers are mainly system files which works to function your devices like printers, scanners etc. when you give command for a print this drivers files stores the spooled file temporarily and quits as you finish your work.
Reply:It Holds the File Necessary for Printing and Printer.

Where can I find this file: C:PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\... to download???

It seems you are looking for a file in response to a message that states that the file is missing or corrupt.

If that is the case then you need to back up any data created by that software - if any, remove the software and then re-install it.

Software vendors don't usually provide individual files for their software.

Where can I find this file: C:PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\... to download???
You are referring to a program that already is in your computer and I have no idea nor will anyone else of what the file is named even because of the way you wrote your question.
Reply:I would love to help you BUT ..... I have no idea what you are talking about.

first, what type of file is it?

second, what is the name of the file?

third, do you want to download this file from the internet?

fourth, why do you think you need it?

How do you fix RUNDLL? Error loading C:\program files\acceleration software\anti-virus\sssmon.dll can't be fou

Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin...

This error message came up on system start for weeks although didn't seem to bother anything other then annoy me. After searching the web for "supposed" fixes and "suspected" malware %26amp; virus alerts I figured out the MWSBAR on the end meant My Web Bar from the My Web Search at Smiley Central (the place with 100+ different Smiley faces for emails, messenger and such) its NOT malware or anything to harm your PC at all, What happened to others is the same thing I did. Downloaded the My Web Search Toolbar (yes another toolbar) at the top of your screen in addition to explorer %26amp; yahoo %26amp; all the other toolbars you already had when you downloaded those cool little smileys then decided you didn't want it %26amp; deleted it or part of the file without uninstalling it correctly THUS the ERROR LOADING message at system start each time. To fix go to mywebsearch.com and reinstall the toolbar. Then go into control panel %26amp; add/remove programs and look for my web search and uninstall it. Problem Solved !!!

Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin...
Using start and Run the msconfig is the WORST thing you could do! He just told you what the original problem is and how to fix it correctly if you read what he wrote. The error is caused by partially deleting a program and not all of it. Therefore going into msconfig only puts the PC into a safe start and NOT an normal start up procedure which is why you get the other window you have to choose to ignore also. In order to fix the original problem correctly and NOT cause a completely different one stay out of msconfig since you don't know what your doing and let the system start in normal mode and uninstall the program completely as per his instructions above.
Reply:This error message appears because your system is still trying to load it and is unable to find it. To fix you go to start, run and type msconfig. Click on the startup tab and scroll till you find the reference to the offending file. Uncheck the box and click ok and restart your system.

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Frame... could not be loaded?
It sounds like you have an application that is using the .NET Framework. Uninstall .NET Framework v2 from Control Panel, Add-Remove programs, then re-install the .NET Framework v 2 Service Pack 1, you can download it from

This means that the DLL is no longer in that location. You can either restore that DLL or you can manually remove it from your startup.

To manually remove it, goto Start %26gt;%26gt; RUN%26gt; Type MSCONFIG

Then goto the "Startup" tab and look for the DLL. Then uncheck the box, click on Apply, Click Ok. Then reboot the PC.

Win32:ctx virus help the location c:/system volume information\_restore.... and the name well its a .dll?
As I said in your other question:

"When using a virus scanner to clean a virus it is advisable for you to turn off system restore. System restore keeps an account of the files on your computer in case your computer has major issues and you need to go back to when it was working properly. When eliminating the viruses and spy ware, it remains inside the system restore data and shows up on a virus scan. Once you delete the virus from your computer then restart system restore and it will all be permanently eliminated."
Reply:I choose not to answer this question because you unnecessarily posted multiple of the same question, which just annoys the heck out of me.

I have a RUNDLL error c:PROGRA~\MYWEB~1\bar\1.bin\MW... how do i get rid of it?
The best i could find out it could be a variant of the web search tool bar. If it is it is ad-ware. Try running Ad ware Personal edition and see if that get rid of it. Hope this helps.
Reply:Download cc cleaner (it's free and will help clean out your registry) Otherwise try a on line scanner for viruses and spy ware. Peace!
Reply:Go to START, RUN type in MSCONFIG and press ENTER, go the the STARTUP tab, but do not chang anything on any other tab. On the startup tab, see if you can see that program on the list, if you do uncheck the entry and apply the settings.

Usually Temp folders hold files temporarily as the name would imply during the installation of software or temporary internet files through internet usage. I always delete any files I find in my Temp folders.
