prolly something to do with a scanner
twain (technology with an interesting name.....so they ran out of cool names for things) usually applies to scanners, if you have a scanner try removing it and reinstalling it.
may also be a webcam
basically, check your peripherals, somethings not loaded correctly or corrupt
What does this error mean error loading c:\windows\ztwain.dll it only occurs at start-up?
Ztwain.dll was part of a virus or spyware application that was loaded on your system, but seems your antivirus software probably removed the files, but did not change the startup that looks for the file. That is why when it loads, it looks for that virus file, but it cannot find it.

Reply:It sounds like your computer has a virus. Twain is a known virus, you should run a virus scan and delete the virus.
