This come up every time I log on to my computer the toll bar name is under RUNDLL

It is spyware and it's like cockroaches; if you see one there are a lot more you've not yet seen. Go to www.download.com and get spybot and ad-aware. Install, let them update, let them run (likely overnight) and let them delete all they find.

Reply:I'll give you part of the answer. The PROGRA~1 goes back to the old DOS naming convention of 8 characters for name and 3 for extension. So for instance PROGRA~1 is the 8 character truncation of a directory like ProgramFiles or some directory/file name greater than 8.
