this is the error message I get when I start or reboot my computer. Does anyone know what it is, what it relates to, and how do I fix or get rid of it? AppData\local\temp\sSmmMgee.dll The specified module cannot be found.
When starting computer: AppData\Local\temp\sSmmMgee.dl... -the specified module c/n be found. What is this?
What OS are you running? Are you running a server like Apache? MySQL? PHP? Did it say could not, or cannot?
Have no idea what “sSmmMgee.dll” is, it does not turn up in searches. However, most searches turn up VB Script errors for the “The specified module cannot be found”.
Microsoft has this to say…
In Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, when you try to create an application, the application may not be created successfully. Instead, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
“The specified module cannot be found”
This problem occurs because the Microsoft Windows Script engine is corrupted.
To resolve this problem, update your computer with the latest version of Windows Script Host. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Edit Update
Not entirely sure about Vista. I don't use it, and won't until service packs are made. You will be a beta tester for Vista, like all the rest of the OS's, until MS comes out with new Service Packs. Make sure you have all the latest updates for Vista, and ponder what software/hardware you may have added since this problem began. Running "Vista" compatible adware/spyware/virus detection tools may help. Running a Scan on your machine (like XP has a built in Utility for checking Disk problems, i.e. cmd%26gt;run%26gt; chkdsk /r) may help as well provided Vista has that. If they make a compatible Norton Utilities for Vista, I would highly recommend that as well. Sometimes missing DLL's could be the problem, and Norton can help figure which ones are missing. If there is missing DLL files, do a Yahoo/Google search for the missing DLL file and you will find your missing DLL file for download. There is an actual site that has all the DLL files for download. Hope this helps.
