C:\Windows\System32\NVMCTray.d...

I am constantly given a pop-up of missing file named above when booting up XP

C:\Windows\System32\NVMCTray.d...
That file belongs to an nVidia video card. It displays nVidia options in your system tray (icons next to windows clock).

Depending on your comfort level with editing the Windows registry, you can either remove the corresponding entry from the primary windows startup keys, HKLM%26gt;Software %26gt; Microsoft %26gt; Windows %26gt; Current Version %26gt; Run and the same key under the HKCU branch.

Otherwise, download the most recent version of your video card drivers, uninstall the nVidia software and drivers and reinstall with the newly downloaded version.
