"RTHDCPL.EXE- Illegal System DLL Relocation" comes up on start up?

The exact error is "The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRLOCX occupied an adress range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL." What is my problem and how do i fix it?

Reply:you have a "virus" that is pretty tricky in that if you search for it you find links to sites that want to sell you software to remove it

sadly I too got it but I am still looking at how to remove it but if you want it to stop you can do the follwoing:

1. use msconfig and disable and click on teh startup tab

2. disable (uncheck) everything where teh command is NOT a path but an executable

for example the comamnd

"c:\blah\blah\blah" is OK

but

hexfgh.exe is not OK

now this is pretty generic but its ok for several reasons

1. you can recheck anything that you need

2. when you reboot the system will tell you that msconfig was modified and automatically open (so you can recheck anything that it turns out you need)

3. most legit programs do NOT do HGFHXBXG.exe but rather a path

once I figure out how to remove (the above steps just disables it) I will let you know
