What is a DLL?

When I start my 2 month old laptop it now tells me "The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL." What does all this mean? Fiona A

What is a DLL?
A DLL is a "Dynamic Link Library" and is basically just a support file for programs on your computer.

It gives the .exe file information it needs to complete it's operation.

Go to this link:

It has a copy of the DLL file that has been moved. You will need to copy it to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\".

You might need to go into safe mode to copy it to the correct location.
